The Promise - Michael Nyman

No matter how old I get, I am always amazed at how quickly I am swept away by certain musical compositions.  When I hear "The Promise" by Michael Nyman (from the film 'The Piano') I am taken back to where I was the very first time I heard it.  It's not for me to tell you what memory this piece evokes for me, but rather for me to share so that in turn you can make your own.
